COODYE APARTMENTS

Coodye Apartments is listed as a heritage item of State significance.

We worked with Weir Phillips Heritage to navigate our way through making this a place that reinvigorated the building whilst preserving items and areas that were important to its heritage.

Great care was taken with the craftsmanship of the new joinery elements so that they read as elements which are definitely new but also sympathetic to the existing fabric of the building. Another part of reworking the building was to choose all furniture and paintings in both apartments, helping the building to be seen as a heritage item but also as a piece of architecture that is relevant in 2020.

The landscape design is by Sue Barnsley Landscape Architecture, and uses a material palette that relates to the historic building but also allows for some substantial trees to add to the “garden character” of this part of Millers Point.
