LA BUVETTE CAFE
The concept for La Buvette explores the idea of a ‘slot’ space spilling its life and vivacity out onto the street. The essentially linear architecture is defined by the major structuring elements that run through the café; the working bench, refrigeration and storage units, banquette seating and suspended lighting elements.
We sought to evoke the warmth and feeling of a 1930’s tea room and make the café feel like a beloved local institution. The materials and textures evoke the romantic éclat of older style cafes and restaurants.
